I'm working with one of the UK's most progressive and rapidly growing accountancy firms to recruit a Corporate Tax Manager into their Midlands tax team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced corporate tax professional looking to join a business that genuinely challenges traditional practice. Joining a highly regarded Corporate Tax team, you'll manage your own portfolio of clients across both compliance and advisory matters while building trusted relationships and becoming a key point of contact for businesses.

The team works with a varied client base ranging from owner-managed businesses through to larger corporate groups, listed entities, private equity-backed businesses, and internationally owned organisations, giving you exposure to a broad range of complex tax matters.

You'll have the autonomy to manage client relationships while working alongside experienced Directors and Partners on wider advisory projects and strategic tax planning assignments.

As Corporate Tax Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering both compliance and advisory services across a varied portfolio of business clients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients
• Reviewing corporation tax returns, computations, and tax accounting disclosures
• Signing out more complex tax returns independently
• Acting as the main tax contact for a range of clients
• Advising on corporate tax planning, restructuring, and wider business tax matters
• Supporting clients through HMRC enquiries and investigations
• Liaising directly with HMRC on behalf of clients
• Working closely with audit, advisory, and wider service-line teams to provide a seamless client experience
• Identifying opportunities to introduce additional services across existing client portfolios
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the tax team
• Coaching, mentoring, and developing junior members of staff

• ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualified
• Strong experience within a corporate tax-focused role
• Previous experience managing a client portfolio
• Exposure to both compliance and advisory work
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience working with larger and more complex corporate clients
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem solving
• A passion for delivering exceptional client service
• Previous experience supporting and developing junior team members
