Job Description

Our client is a leading financial services organisation investing heavily into payment technology and require an experienced Delivery Lead to perform a critical role in delivering high-impact digital technology workstreams.

They are particularly interested in those with industry experience (financial services / payments), proven with stakeholder engagement and ability to deliver projects working with product owners, development teams and 3rd party vendors.

This role will provide a dynamic environment to deliver multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivering measurable value.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Leading the end-to-end delivery of multiple projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope and to budget.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including technology, compliance, and business units, to ensure stakeholder expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks across projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Governance: Manage project governance processes, including reporting on progress, risks and issues to senior stakeholders.
  • Resource Management: Responsible for overseeing resource allocation of delivery teams to ensure project priorities are supported.
  • Agile/Waterfall Methodologies: Utilising appropriate delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall or hybrid) based on project requirements and team dynamics.
  • Financial Oversight: Will have responsibility to manage budgets to ensure cost efficiency and accountability across projects.

Required skills:

  • Experience as a Project Manager in financial services, ideally within digital transformation and/or financial crime programmes.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, compliance requirements and risk management in the financial sector.
  • Expertise in delivering complex projects using Agile, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering outcomes and benefits realisation.
  • Professional certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile PM are highly desirable.
