Finance Analyst in Bicester - Butler Rose

Butler Rose is pleased to be supporting a well-established organisation based in Bicester with the recruitment of a Finance Analyst to join their finance management team.

Hybrid working, with a minimum of one day per week in the Bicester office

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible finance professional who is looking to develop their experience within management accounting, budgeting, reporting and stakeholder engagement.

Working closely with the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the month-end process, producing financial reports, assisting with budgets and forecasts, and providing clear financial information to budget holders across the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the Finance Manager with preparation of budgets and forecasts
* Assisting with the month-end process, including accruals and prepayments, budget v actual, journals etc
* Involved with producing monthly reporting packs and financial analysis
* Maintaining ledgers and ensuring information is accurate and up to date
* Providing high-quality financial information and guidance to budget holders
* Supporting budgetary control and helping to identify trends, variances and key movements
* Preparing standard monthly, quarterly and annual reports
* Producing ad hoc reports, costing information and analysis when required
* Liaising confidently with internal stakeholders across the organisation

The successful candidate will have:
* Experience supporting month-end processes
* Previous experience assisting with budgets, forecasts and financial reporting will be an advantage
* Advanced Excel skills - pivot tables, VLOOKUP's etc
* Team player but is also self sufficient when needed
* Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
* The ability to work to deadlines, prioritise workload in a busy environment
* Good communication skills, with the confidence to engage with budget holders and internal stakeholders
* The ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues
* A proactive, flexible and team-focused approach

Qualifications and experience:
Applications are welcomed from candidates who are fully AAT qualified, part-qualified CIMA/ACCA, or qualified by experience with relevant finance and management accounting experience.
