Imperium Financial Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-recognised institution to recruit an experienced Finance Manager.

Reporting to the Central Treasurer, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting in line with statutory requirements. You will oversee month-end and year-end processes, accounts payable and receivable, tax compliance, payroll, and act as the key contact for external audit.

You will also lead and develop the Accounts team, ensuring a high-quality finance function that supports wider organisational objectives.

• Lead financial reporting, month-end and year-end close
• Maintain strong balance sheet control and internal controls
• Oversee AP/AR, payroll, and VAT/tax compliance
• Manage external audit processes and implement improvements
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiency
• Manage, coach, and develop the finance team
• Partner with stakeholders across the organisation

• AAT qualified or above (or equivalent experience)
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102
• Proven experience in financial reporting and audit
• Experience managing month-end/year-end processes
• Strong understanding of AP/AR and payroll
• Advanced Excel and systems experience (e.g. NetSuite, IRIS)
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, detail-focused, and solutions-driven

• Fully office-based role in Salford
• Occasional flexibility required to meet business needs
