Job Description

Our client a forward thinking firm of Chartered Accountants is seeking an experienced Manager to join its Barnsley office. This is a key role with genuine progression opportunities, overseeing a varied client portfolio and contributing to the strategic development of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a mixed portfolio of clients, delivering high quality accounts, tax and advisory services
  • Leading and mentoring a team of accountants
  • Supporting business development and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Maintaining strong client relationships, including meeting prospective clients
  • Ensuring compliance and consistently high service standards

Skills & Experience

  • ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong practice background (ideally 3+ years PQE)
  • Proven experience managing client portfolios and developing staff
  • Strong IT capability, including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Office 365 and ideally IRIS/MyWorkpapers
  • Confident communicator with a proactive, organised and professional approach
  • Ambitious, self motivated and committed to progressing into a leadership role
