Location: Havant

Salary: Up to £28,000


Bennett & Game are working with a leading civil engineering contractor delivering a flagship UK infrastructure project to recruit a Health & Safety Coordinator to support their HSEQ team on site at Havant.


This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual to play a key role in supporting health & safety systems, reporting, and compliance on a major project. You will work closely with Advisors and Managers, enabling them to focus on site engagement and proactive safety management.

Health & Safety Coordinator - Job Overview

  • Maintain accurate health & safety documentation including RAMS and compliance records
  • Support the management and continuous improvement of internal safety systems
  • Monitor inspections and ensure completion within required timeframes
  • Track SLT inspections and issue reminders where required
  • Analyse inspection data and support reporting, including monthly dashboards
  • Assist with inductions, toolbox talks, and D&A testing coordination
  • Maintain accident and incident records, ensuring actions are tracked and closed out
  • Support Health & Safety meetings, including minute taking and action tracking
  • Assist with internal communications and wellbeing initiatives


Health & Safety Coordinator - Job Requirements

  • Previous HSE administrative or coordination experience within construction or engineering desirable
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and reporting
  • Practical experience of NEC contracts & practical experience of change management would be advantageous
  • Ability to analyse data and present information clearly
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
