A well-established organisation based in Alderley Edge is seeking a Payroll Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with payroll or administrative experience who is looking to further develop their career within a collaborative and structured environment.
As Payroll Assistant, you will support the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services across weekly and monthly payroll cycles, while also providing broader administrative support to the team.
This is a varied position offering exposure to multiple aspects of payroll and business operations.
Supporting the end-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payrolls
Maintaining and updating employee records, including contractual changes
Managing holiday and absence records within the HR system
Monitoring sickness absence and supporting long-term absence tracking
Processing weekly expenses
Acting as a point of contact for system queries and escalating issues where required
Supporting company car administration, including tax renewals and inspections
Assisting with insurance claims administration
Maintaining and updating internal processes and procedures
Providing general administrative support across payroll and the wider team
Previous experience in payroll or administration
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
A proactive and team-oriented approach
Experience with HR or payroll systems (e.g. iTrent) would be advantageous
Circa £30,000, depending on experience
Full-time, permanent position
