Job Description

Are you ready to elevate your career in an "Outstanding" educational setting?

Randstad Education is proud to partner with a premier secondary school in Upminster that is currently seeking a passionate and driven Learning Support Assistant. This school is renowned for its inclusive culture and exceptional SEN department, making it the perfect environment for an individual who is serious about student progress and professional growth.

The Opportunity

This isn't just a support role; it's an opportunity to become an integral part of an elite SEN team. You will be supporting secondary-aged students who have a range of complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH. Your presence in the classroom will directly impact their ability to thrive in a high-performing academic environment.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Dedicated 1:1 Support: Acting as a mentor and academic guide for students with EHCPs, helping them navigate the complexities of the secondary curriculum.

  • Collaboration: Working hand-in-hand with the SENCO and expert teaching staff to ensure every student's Individual Education Plan (IEP) is active and successful.

  • Classroom Dynamics: Promoting a safe, disciplined, and high-energy learning atmosphere where inclusion is the standard, not the exception.

  • Reporting & Strategy: Keeping precise records of student progress and participating in departmental reviews to refine support strategies.

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven Experience: You must have recent, demonstrable experience working with children or young people (Secondary or SEN settings preferred).

  • SEN Knowledge: A strong understanding of ASD, ADHD, or SEMH is highly advantageous.

  • Resilience & Composure: The ability to stay focused and calm in a fast-paced school day while managing diverse student needs.

  • Commitment: Available for a full-time (Monday-Friday) long-term contract starting immediately.

  • Compliance: A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness to process a new one).

Pay & Benefits:
  • Pay: Start at £90 per day, with a guaranteed increase to £107 per day after the 12-week AWR qualifying period.

  • Referral Rewards: Know someone else who would be perfect? Refer them to us and receive £300 in Love2Shop vouchers (subject to T&Cs).

  • Weekly Pay: Reliable weekly payroll to keep your finances on track.

Ready to Apply?

If you want to work in one of Upminster's most successful schools and make a genuine difference, we want to hear from you today.
