Advice quality manager / File Reviewer in London - Deerfoot Recruitment Solutions Ltd

Advice Quality Manager / File Checker - Remote/Hybrid (London) - Circa £60k - £100k per annum (Depending on experience). Happy to consider full-time or part-time. May also consider a day rate contractor; client are very open-minded in terms of considering different options.

Deerfoot Recruitment is supporting a leading financial services boutique with the hire of a File Checker. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to join a dynamic team, undertaking high-quality reviews of client files to ensure advice is suitable, compliant, and clearly evidenced.

The Role:
The successful candidate will review client files, advice reports, and supporting documentation to assess suitability and compliance with FCA rules, including Consumer Duty. They will provide constructive feedback to advisers, identify gaps or risks, and contribute to continuous improvement across the business.

Key Requirements:

• Experience in file reviewing, suitability assessment, paraplanning, or compliance monitoring within wealth management or financial planning.

• Strong understanding of FCA rules (COBS, PROD, SYSC) and Consumer Duty.

• Knowledge of investment products, pensions, and protection advice.

• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and written communication.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent).

• Experience with CRM/back-office systems (XPLAN, Intelliflo, IRESS).

• Understanding of Model Portfolios, DFMs, and ESG considerations.

Working Pattern:
Flexible full-time or part-time hours, with hybrid working available. The role can be primarily remote, with occasional travel into London

Salary: £55,000-£100,000 per annum.
