Teaching Assistant in Leicester - Spencer Clarke Group

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our primary school in Leicester, providing a blend of general classroom and Special Educational Needs (SEN) support. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils across the primary age range, ensuring all children can access a broad, balanced and inclusive curriculum. The role involves assisting with the delivery of engaging lessons, supporting learning through one-to-one and small group interventions, and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted behaviour strategies for pupils with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD and speech and language difficulties. You will help to create a positive, safe and nurturing learning environment, promote pupils' social, emotional and academic development, and monitor progress by providing regular feedback to teaching staff. The role also includes preparing classroom resources, supporting with displays and organisation, and supervising pupils during break times, school activities and educational visits as required. The ideal candidate will have experience working with primary-aged children, demonstrate patience, adaptability and strong communication skills, and show a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and wellbeing of all pupils.
