Accounts Administrator - Hybrid | Permanent - Competitive salary and excellent benefits
Are you AAT qualified and looking for your next step in a finance role? We are currently recruiting for multiple roles on behalf of a well-established financial services client. We are looking for four Accounts Administrators / Finance Administrators to join their growing Corporate Support team on a permanent basis.
This role would suit someone with at least 6 months' experience in an accounts or finance function; AAT level 3+.
Full training will be provided and study support is available following successful completion of the probationary period.
Please note: this role requires flexibility during month-end periods, where overtime may be required (typically up to 6pm). Standard working hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Important: Due to the location of our client, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
The Role
Reporting to the Corporate Support Manager, you will provide accurate and compliant administrative support across a range of financial processes, reporting activities and internal projects. Key duties will include:
- Processing daily financial transactions including purchase invoices, sales invoices and expenses
- Managing cash management activities across EMEA offices, including internal cash transactions and regular bank, supplier and customer reconciliations
- Managing multi-currency transactions, including foreign currency postings, exchange rate monitoring and account reconciliations
- Preparing and submitting local and foreign VAT returns in line with regulatory deadlines
- Assisting with monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes including journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations and financial statement production
- Performing monthly balance sheet control reviews and general ledger monitoring
- Supporting financial consolidation by compiling branch and profit centre data for group reporting
- Preparing supporting workings for statutory financial statement disclosures
- Assisting with audit preparation by collating documentation and responding to auditor queries
- Monitoring departmental shared mailboxes daily, delegating and resolving queries in line with company SLA guidelines
- Contributing to departmental improvement projects
Skills & Experience
- Accounting qualification (full or part), with a minimum of AAT Level 3 or equivalent - AAT Level 2 candidates with relevant work experience within an accounts role will also be considered
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Previous experience in accounting, accounts payable or financial administration preferred (1-2 years)
- Experience using SAP or Sage accounting software is desirable
- Experience with Power BI is advantageous but not essential
- Strong attention to detail with good organisational and time management skills
- Methodical approach to problem solving with strong verbal and written communication
