AAT Qualified Accounts Senior in Chester - Clark Wood - Accountancy Practice & Tax Recruitment

Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Chester who are seeking an AAT Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accounts Senior to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional to join a forward-thinking firm with a diverse client portfolio and a strong focus on cloud accounting solutions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Managers and wider team, taking responsibility for a broad range of client work. You will act for a varied portfolio of clients, predominantly limited companies, operating across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities will include:

Preparation of statutory financial statements and year-end accounts for review by Managers and Partners

Preparation of management accounts, VAT returns, cash flow forecasts and other financial returns

Assisting Managers with complex accounts assignments and client-related projects

Supporting audit assignments on an ad hoc basis where required

Working with a range of bookkeeping software including Xero, Sage and other cloud-based platforms

Promoting the benefits of cloud accounting solutions, particularly Xero, and supporting clients in adapting to Making Tax Digital

You will:

Be AAT Qualified or qualified by experience

Have substantial experience working within an accountancy practice environment

Have strong experience preparing statutory and management accounts, VAT returns and bookkeeping
