Overview

A successful and growing accountancy practice is seeking a motivated Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 6 to 18 months’ experience who is keen to expand their skills, develop within practice, and gain exposure across bookkeeping, payroll support and reporting.

This position can be offered full-time or part-time, with full office-based working.

Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed.

Duties

• Accurately enter financial transactions into the accounting system.
• Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records.
• Assist in reconciling bank statements with internal records.
• Help prepare, send and track client invoices.
• Record and document expenses efficiently.
• Assist with payroll data entry and verification.
• Help generate basic financial reports for review by senior staff.
• Support senior accountants with general bookkeeping and administrative tasks.
• Ensure all financial data is processed in line with deadlines and internal procedures.
• Communicate with clients when required to obtain information or clarify queries.

What we're looking for

A successful candidate would have 6 months+ experience in local UK practice and bring a keen and motivated attitude to build a long-term career! You must live within 1hr of Faversham.
