We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Wythenshawe that is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. Primary Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons across the primary curriculum
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with SEN
• Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of children with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, or speech and language difficulties
• Assist with literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum activities
• Help to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Support the monitoring and recording of pupil progress
• Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and independence

Primary Teaching Assistant - Person Specification

• Previous experience working in a primary school setting
• Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs is desirable
• A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
• Confidence in adapting support strategies for children with additional needs
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A good understanding of safeguarding procedures
• A genuine passion for helping children grow in confidence and succeed

Primary Teaching Assistant - To Be Eligible You Must:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
  * Have an enhanced child barred list DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
  * Be able to provide two professional references (child-related preferred)
