Location: Bromyard, Herefordshire

Salary: £24,420 – £28,000 per annum (DOE)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and progressive manufacturing company based in Bromyard, Herefordshire, who are seeking a Sales & Shipping Administrator to join their Sales and Marketing team.


This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to build experience in export sales, international shipping, and administration within a supportive and professional working environment.


The Role


Reporting to the Head of Sales and Sales Office Manager, the Export Sales & Shipping Administrator will be responsible for supporting sales operations and coordinating the shipment of products worldwide.


Key duties include:


Preparing sales quotations and processing customer orders

Raising sales invoices (experience with SAGE and Microsoft Office is advantageous)

Coordinating cost-effective worldwide shipping arrangements

Obtaining shipping quotations and liaising with freight forwarders, courier companies, inspection agencies, and Chambers of Commerce

Preparing export documentation including certificates of origin and cargo tracking notes

Arranging product despatch and pre-shipment inspections where required

Occasional processing of Letters of Credit and Cash Against Documents

Liaising with international banks as required

Handling sales and shipping correspondence

Communicating with customers via telephone and email

Managing incoming telephone enquiries

Supporting general office and reception duties

Providing cover for the Finance Department as required, including weekly payroll and ad-hoc finance tasks

The Candidate

This role would suit a reliable and organised individual with strong administrative skills and an interest in international sales and logistics. Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential, as this position is suitable for an entry-level candidate with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
