A well-established, independently owned wealth management partnership with a strong reputation in investments and financial planning is seeking a Paraplanner to join its team. The firm blends modern thinking with traditional values of trust, integrity and client service.

The business offers a fully integrated approach, bringing together discretionary portfolio management and holistic financial planning under one roof. It manages more than £27bn in assets for private clients, families, UK clients and US non-domiciled individuals.

The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, technically strong Paraplanner to join the London-based team. This role would suit someone who enjoys working at the heart of the advice process and wants their technical expertise to genuinely influence the quality of advice delivered.

Working closely with Financial Planners, you will provide high-quality technical and research support, preparing detailed recommendations, suitability reports and client documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing client letters, proposals and suitability reports in line with compliance and ethical standards
  • Conducting detailed technical research on products, solutions and providers
  • Cashflow modelling and technical analysis
  • Attending client meetings where appropriate
  • Monitoring and sharing technical or product developments with advisers and relevant stakeholders

About You

You will be a technically confident Paraplanner with a meticulous approach and the ability to engage thoughtfully in financial discussions.

You will have:

  • CII Diploma in Financial Planning (or CISI equivalent) as a minimum; Level 6 desirable
  • Proven experience in a Paraplanning role within a wealth management or financial planning environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
  • Excellent analytical skills and confidence working with data
  • A collaborative mindset with the confidence to challenge constructively
  • High levels of organisation, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong IT literacy
