Job Description

Our client, a well-established and highly professional financial planning firm based in South-East London, is currently looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to support two Chartered IFAs.

This is a genuinely good opportunity for a technically strong Paraplanner who enjoys the detail, takes pride in producing high-quality work, and wants to be part of a close-knit, professional team.

The office environment is focused, supportive and collaborative — a place where your input is valued and your technical expertise makes a real difference to the advice process. Importantly, there is a natural progression route here over time. For a paraplanner who may ultimately want to move into an advisory role, you’ll gain close exposure to clients, client meetings, and the full advice journey, with the opportunity to develop in that direction as your experience and qualifications grow.

The Role

As a Paraplanner, you’ll work closely with two IFAs and two IFA administrators, providing full paraplanning support across a range of pensions, investments, and retirement planning cases.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out detailed research across pensions, investments and protection
  • Producing clear, compliant and well-structured suitability reports
  • Technical analysis of existing arrangements and recommendations
  • Preparing review documentation and supporting ongoing client servicing
  • Cashflow modelling using Voyant
  • Liaising with advisers and administrators to ensure cases progress smoothly

You’ll be using Intelligent Office as the back-office system, alongside platforms such as Transact and AJ Bell.

This is a hands-on paraplanning role where your technical ability and attention to detail will be genuinely appreciated. Over time, you’ll deepen your understanding of client relationships and advice delivery — not just the technical side, but the bigger picture too.

About You

Ideally, you’ll be Level 4 Diploma qualified — or well on your way, with at least two R0 exams completed — and have gained solid paraplanning experience within an IFA environment. You’ll feel confident carrying out technical research and producing clear, well-structured suitability reports.

Experience with cashflow modelling software such as Voyant would be great.. Familiarity with platforms like Transact and AJ Bell would also be helpful. Above all, you’ll be organised, comfortable managing your own workload, and based within a sensible commuting distance of Blackheath.

If you are still working towards your Level 4 Diploma – for the right candidate – our client will provide full support for all remaining study material and examination costs.

This role would suit someone professional, technically capable, and ambitious — someone who enjoys producing quality work, being a trusted right-hand support to advisers, and potentially sees paraplanning as a stepping stone towards advising in the future.

What’s on Offer

  • Salary to £55,000 depending on experience
  • Full-time or 4-day working week considered
  • On-site parking
  • Supportive and professional working environment
  • Full study support
  • A genuine long-term progression route, including the opportunity to move towards an advisory role as you develop

If you’re a technically strong Paraplanner looking for a stable, well-structured role in a respected firm — with flexibility around working patterns and a clear pathway for future progression — this could be an excellent long-term move.

If you’d like to apply, please send your CV to Harry at Financial Divisions.
