Job Description

Paraplanner to Adviser/Wealth Manager – Hybrid Working - Salary up to £60,000 - Hiring Due to Growth – Clear 2-3 Year Progression Plan

Thanks to continued growth, our client – a successful wealth management firm in London – is looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to support one dedicated Wealth Manager. This role will be based in our client’s London office for 3 days per week, and 2 days working from home.

They are looking for a Paraplanner who wants to spend time truly mastering the technical side of the role before progressing into an Adviser/Wealth Manager position themselves in the short to medium-term. There is a clear progression plan, real mentoring, and genuine opportunity at the end of it.

You will report to a supportive Paraplanner Team Lead but work closely day-to-day with one Wealth Manager, taking ownership of a private client book and becoming a key part of the client relationship.

The Role

The position is nicely balanced between technical paraplanning and client interaction.

On the wealth planning side, you will be:

  • Producing suitability reports and annual review letters
  • Completing cash flow modelling and reviewing risk profiles
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on wrappers and wealth planning products
  • Ensuring all advice is clearly documented, accurate and compliant
  • Supporting with technical research and helping shape client solutions

You’ll also be heavily involved in client management:

  • Attending meetings, taking notes, and following up on actions
  • Communicating with UK and international clients by phone and email
  • Supporting clients through the onboarding and asset transfer process
  • Handling withdrawal call-backs and providing regular progress updates

Alongside this, you will contribute to process improvements, assist with complex account packs, and continue developing your own technical knowledge through exams, internal training, and industry events.

What Makes This Paraplanner Role Stand Out

  • There is a genuine, structured pathway to becoming an Adviser/Wealth Manager
  • Dedicated support to one Wealth Manager – not being spread across multiple desks
  • Real client exposure and responsibility
  • A growing firm where progression is driven by opportunity, not waiting for someone to leave

About You

You will ideally hold the Level 4 Diploma and have a desire to achieve Chartered and/or Certified Financial Planner status, as well as have 2+ years’ experience in a paraplanning role. You will be technically strong, confident writing reports, comfortable using financial planning and cashflow tools, and understand the compliance framework around advice. Just as importantly, you will be personable, organised, and comfortable speaking directly with clients and senior stakeholders.

This role would suit someone ambitious who wants to build towards advising in their own right.

If you are looking for a paraplanning role with purpose, direction, and genuine long-term progression within a supportive, friendly, and rewarding business, this could be a very exciting next step.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please send your CV to Harry at Financial Divisions.
