Job Description
Our client, a leading global investment management firm is looking to hire a highly motivated and intellectually curious individual to join its London-based investment team as an Analyst to cover European equities, feeding into both long-only and long/short strategies.
The successful candidate will support the investment process through in-depth fundamental research, detailed financial analysis, and the generation of long-term investment ideas across European markets.
This role is suited to individuals with some foundational early career experience in equity research (at least 1 year), who are looking to transition into or build upon a career on the buy side.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct bottom-up fundamental analysis of European companies
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuations
- Monitor market developments, industry trends, and company news
- Prepare investment memos and research reports to support portfolio decisions
- Collaborate closely with senior analysts and portfolio managers
- Participate in meetings with company management teams and industry experts
Role Requirements
- 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in equity research (buy side or sell side)
- Candidates MUST be a CFA Charterholder, having successfully completed all 3 levels, ideally with first-time passes.
- Candidates MUST speak a European language other than English.
- Evidence of proactive interest in investing, such as maintaining a personal or virtual portfolio or reading widely on investment topics
- Exceptional academic background, ideally in finance, economics, or a related discipline
- A demonstrable passion for investing and financial markets
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
