Assistant Management Accountant in Leeds - Headstar

Working for a growing, multi-entity business (with overseas operations) that needs an Assistant Management Accountant who takes pride in getting the detail right and wants exposure to the bigger picture.

This isn't a "sit in the corner and process" role. You'll be at the heart the finance function, supporting the production of management accounts and ensuring the foundations are rock solid.

What you'll be doing:

• Posting and allocating cash accurately and efficiently
• Completing monthly bank reconciliations
• Managing and reconciling loan payments
• Maintaining and reconciling intercompany balances across entities
• Posting overseas depreciation and journals
• Assisting in the production of monthly management accounts
• Supporting P&L reporting and variance analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger housekeeping

Basically, you'll make sure the numbers stack up before they go anywhere near a board pack.

What they're looking for:

• Experience in a similar Assistant Management Accountant / Accounts role
• Comfortable with journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
• Exposure to multi-entity or intercompany accounting (ideal but not essential)
• Studying AAT / ACCA / CIMA or keen to start (support available)

You don't need to know everything, but you do need to care about doing things properly.
