Job Description

Some finance roles keep the lights on, this one helps steer the ship.

You'll join a small, high-performing finance team at head office in Leeds City Centre during an exciting phase of growth.

You won't be boxed in, you'll get hands-on exposure across the full finance function from purchase ledger through to management accounts, forecasting and audit support. If you're looking to properly build your grounding in finance (not just tick transactional boxes), this is it.

The role:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts (including accruals, prepayments and journals)
  • Owning purchase ledger processes and supplier payments
  • Raising sales invoices and supporting credit control
  • Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting short-term cashflow forecasting
  • Assisting with monthly forecast updates
  • Compiling KPI reporting across group entities
  • Supporting VAT returns and compliance requirements
  • Assisting with audit preparation
  • Getting involved in ad-hoc analysis and process improvements

What do you need?

  • Previous experience in a similar finance role
  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
  • Confident Excel skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Organised, deadline-driven and proactive
  • Comfortable communicating with stakeholders
  • AAT qualified (desirable, not essential - study support available)

What's in it for you?

  • Salary up to £33,000
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Pension & life assurance
  • Health plan
  • Study support
