Our client; a successful firmof Chartered Accountants is actively seeking an Accounts Semi Senior Accountant to join their Barnsley office in a role that will utilise their knowledge and skills to deliver a first-class service to provide accounts support to varied an impressive client base.
Duties
- Client bookkeeping
- Assisting with the management of a portfolio of clients
- Preparation of basic company financial statements
- Preparation of interim management accounts
- Preparation of personal tax returns
- Preparation of partnership accounts and returns
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Potential to attend client meetings and interact with directors and business owners
- Assisting with the training of apprentices
- Company Secretarial Duties (desirable)
- Preparation of P11Ds (desirable)
- Payroll experience (desirable)
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years experience working in an accountancy practice
- Experience with Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks, Iris, Sage Business Cloud is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
Qualifications
- Ideally studying towards AAT or have completed a relevant university degree
- Studying towards ACA/ACCA is also welcomed
