Michael Page are partnering with a growing and acquisitive UK group to recruit a Group Reporting Manager. This is a high-visibility role within the finance function, offering exposure to senior leadership and involvement in acquisition activity, statutory reporting, and technical accounting matters.
Description
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Manage and develop the Assistant Management Accountant, ensuring month-end deadlines are achieved
- Prepare monthly management accounts and oversee group reporting requirements
- Complete statutory accounts in line with disclosure checklists and proforma accounts
- Prepare and post month-end journals and invoices within required deadlines
- Ensure fixed asset register compliance with accounting standards
- Produce and distribute month-end spend reports to department heads
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, flagging risks to the Financial Controller
- Support interim and year-end audit processes
- Proactively resolve issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
Profile
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Have strong technical accounting knowledge, including statutory reporting and corporation tax
- Be up-to-date with relevant accounting and tax regulations
- Have experience managing a team
- Be highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Be confident using Microsoft Office and financial systems
- Show initiative and the ability to operate autonomously
