Self Employed Operations Project Manager in Basingstoke - UBT

Location: Winchester (current site) & Hook (new site)
Contract Length: Approx. 2 months
Working Hours: Full-time OR part-time (approx. 2 days per week) depending on project needs
Rate: Day rate negotiable depending on experience

We are supporting a well-established organisation as they prepare to move from their current facility in South Wonston, Winchester (SO21) to a newly built site in Hook. With the building completion expected mid-March, we are seeking someone who can join immediately to plan, manage, and oversee the entire relocation process from end to end.

This is a hands-on contract suitable for a confident, organised operational project specialist who can ensure a seamless transition with minimal downtime to business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination and execution of the full site move.

• Oversee labour teams, removal contractors and stakeholders to ensure all elements run to plan.
• Manage logistics, equipment transfer, workflow continuity and contingency planning.
• Monitor progress throughout the move to ensure timelines and milestones are met.
• Deliver a smooth handover upon completion, ensuring operations resume with minimal disruption.
• Proactively resolve issues and maintain strong communication with internal teams.

• Proven experience in operational project management, ideally with involvement in site moves, relocations or similar high-impact operational projects.

• Excellent organisational, planning and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and confidently make informed recommendations (e.g., full-time or part-time utilisation).
• A practical, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to maintain control over multiple moving parts.
