NQT - KS1 Primary Teacher - Doncaster

Academics are working closely with a number of welcoming KS1-focused primary schools, offering flexible, temporary ongoing supply roles designed to help Newly Qualified Teachers build confidence and refine their practice in the early years of primary education.

Position: NQT - KS1 Primary Teacher
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: £130 - £190 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that suits you

About the Role

As a KS1 NQT in Doncaster, you will be delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons across Year 1 and Year 2, supporting pupils with early literacy, numeracy and social development. This role is ideal for an NQT who is passionate about early learning and wants to gain experience across different KS1 settings without committing to a permanent role straight away.

You will be supported by experienced school staff and your dedicated Academics consultant throughout all placements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative KS1 lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  * Create a nurturing, inclusive and structured classroom environment
  * Support pupils' early reading, writing and maths development
  * Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  * Monitor and assess pupil progress
  * Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and senior staff
  * Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  * Newly Qualified Teacher or completing ECT induction
  * Passion for KS1 and early primary education
  * Confident classroom management and communication skills
  * Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
