Job Description

Power Automate Engineer

Contract| Remote | Immediate Impact Role - £400-£500 per day

Introduction

I am looking for a Power Automate Engineer to join a digital solutions team and help accelerate delivery across a growing backlog of automation projects. This role suits someone confident with the Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power Automate and Dataverse, who can quickly understand existing processes, build streamlined solutions, and deliver value fast.

You'll work collaboratively with business stakeholders and technical colleagues to design, develop, and improve automated workflows that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and deploy Power Automate flows (cloud flows and, ideally, desktop flows).
  • Configure, extend, and manage Microsoft Dataverse entities, relationships, and data models.
  • Work with business teams to understand requirements and translate them into automated solutions.
  • Review and improve existing workflows to improve performance and reliability.
  • Handle a backlog of small-to-medium automation projects, ensuring consistent and timely delivery.
  • Integrate Power Automate solutions with other Office 365 and external systems.
  • Ensure governance, compliance, and best practices across the Power Platform environment.
  • Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and user training where required.
Key Skills & ExperienceEssential:
  • Proven hands-on experience with Power Automate (cloud flows).
  • Strong understanding of Dataverse (tables, relationships, security roles, business rules).
  • Solid understanding of Power Platform connectors, triggers, actions, and solution packaging.
  • Experience building integrations across SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft 365 apps.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a backlog of tasks.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to improve poorly performing flows.
Desirable:
  • Experience with Power Apps (model-driven or canvas).
  • Exposure to Power Automate Desktop (RPA).
  • Understanding of Power Platform governance, DLP policies, and ALM.
  • Basic knowledge of Azure components (Logic Apps, Functions).
  • Experience managing stakeholder expectations in busy environments.
Benefits
  • Opportunity to make immediate impact by reducing a backlog of priority automation projects.
  • Work with a supportive team in a growing digital transformation environment.
  • Fully Remote
  • £400 - £500 per day
  • Exposure to modern Microsoft cloud technologies.
