SEND Teaching Assistant - Preston
Full-time | Term Time Only | Start Date: 15/02/2026
£106 - £115 per day

We are recruiting dedicated and compassionate Unqualified Teaching Assistants to work full-time within specialist provisions across Central Lancashire, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including SEN, SEMH, ASC and learning difficulties.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs

• Assist the class teacher with delivering tailored learning activities

• Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development

• Help create a safe, structured and positive learning environment

• Adapt resources to meet individual learning needs

• A caring, patient and resilient approach

• Experience working with children or young people (education, care, coaching or youth work backgrounds welcomed)

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A genuine interest in supporting SEN learners

• Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (UDS) or willingness to apply and pay for one

• Minimum 24 months of employment references

• No significant gaps in employment history

• Full-time availability during term time

• Competitive daily rate (£106-£115)

• Full-time, term-time only hours

• Valuable experience within specialist education settings

This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
