Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

Nottingham | Permanent | Hybrid working

A well established accountancy and tax practice is looking to recruit a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join its tax team in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with strong compliance experience to further develop their skills and take on additional responsibility in a supportive, people focused environment.

The role

You will manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, delivering high quality compliance work and supporting advisory projects. You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams, mentor junior colleagues, and ensure work is completed to high standards and on time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients and interacting with both clients and colleagues to meet deadlines
  • Reviewing work completed by junior team members
  • Delivering all aspects of corporate tax compliance support
  • Completing technical research and presenting findings
  • Liaising with HMRC on client tax liabilities and enquiries
  • Supporting Partners and Managers in client meetings and planning work

About you

You will be a qualified tax professional with relevant post qualification experience. You should have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage your own workload effectively.

You are likely to have:

  • CTA qualification (essential)
  • An understanding of accounts and strong IT skills
  • Proven ability to manage junior staff and support their development
