Located north of Newcastle upon Tyne, TT Electronics’ Bedlington facility is home to a specialist engineering team delivering microcircuit production and custom power electronics solutions for aerospace and defence, supporting safety-critical applications in harsh environments.


As Supply Chain Manager at TT Electronics, Bedlington, you'll be responsible for the management and development of the supply chain strategic plan, along with the day-to-day management of the Purchasing, Planning and Movement of Goods departments.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing supply chain strategies, driving continuous improvement to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness, with full accountability for inventory planning.
  • Overseeing the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process aligning demand with production capacity.
  • Developing and maintaining a robust master production schedule that optimises capacity, labour, and materials.
  • Monitoring schedule adherence and adjusting production plans proactively in response to demand and supply chain fluctuations.
  • Overseeing inventory policies, ensuring optimal stock levels while minimising excess.
  • Developing and driving cost saving initiatives throughout the supply chain.
  • Leading contract negotiations.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to demonstrate legal compliance, for example, but not limited to. ROHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, ITAR.
  • Ensuring compliance with requirements for import and export movement of goods.
  • Defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPI’s) such as On-Time In-Full (OTIF), inventory turns, and schedule adherence.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, quality standards and company policies.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

  • Degree qualified in Operations, Supply Chain, Business Management or similar.
  • Experience managing a busy supply chain function.
  • Experience managing a busy shipping department.
  • A data focussed, logical decision making approach.
  • A high level of understanding of commercial law of contract.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with proven track record of cost reduction.
  • An inspirational and motivational leader, able to navigate, manage and, where appropriate, effect change.
  • Able to communicate ideas to others clearly, with a confident and open demeanour, respecting other points of view.
  • A strategic thinker with an innovative approach to problem solving.

There may be the need for national and possible international travel so candidates will be required to be flexible.
