About the Firm & Role:
CRA Consulting are proud to be working with a long-established, award-winning firm with over 100 years' experience in their field. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Trainee Private Client Adviser to join their successful and collaborative Private Client team at their Chesterfield office.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual either will a footing within estate planning/will drafting or a genuine passion for the estate planning sector and looking to begin their career in this field.

You will be supporting clients on a wide range of personal and family issues, including Wills, estate planning, and inheritance matters, while also having the opportunity to develop expertise in Trusts, IHT planning, and broader private client tax work.

The firm also offers structured support toward qualifications such as STEP or CTA, depending on your career interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and review Wills and assist in estate planning discussions with clients
  • Liaise with Executors, Trustees, and families to support estate administration
  • Prepare documents and correspondence including letters, Will clauses, and checklists
  • Work closely with senior team members to deliver clear, sensitive advice
  • Collaborate across departments and with external professionals to provide a seamless client service
  • Maintain accurate and organised client records and ensure regular follow-up
  • Keep up to date with legislation relevant to Wills, estates, and inheritance
  • Learn internal processes and build knowledge in tax systems and estate planning


About You:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused mindset
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Willing to develop broader knowledge in trusts and tax (training provided)
  • Interest in pursuing STEP or CTA qualifications (optional, not essential)
