Semi-Senior Accountant

A well-established accountancy firm are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Semi-Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone looking to develop their accounting career while gaining experience across multiple areas of finance.

What You’ll Do

• This position is primarily focused on accounts preparation across a range of industries and business types. The work is technical, structured, and varied.
• There is no audit work and very little bookkeeping, allowing the candidate to concentrate on developing strong core accountancy skills right through to client engagement.
• Maintain day-to-day accounting records
• Prepare accruals, prepayments, deferred income, and assist with month-end/year-end close
• Help with VAT returns and compliance tasks
• Work closely with other teams to resolve accounting queries and support decision-making

About You

• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent
• Experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally with exposure to practice
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confident with Excel and accounting systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Proactive problem-solver with a collaborative approach
