Client Manager (Accounts) in Cheam - AJ Chambers

Salary – £50,000–£65,000 (depending on experience and portfolio size)

Role Summary

Are you an experienced Client Manager looking to continue progressing your career towards a senior manager / partner level? This could be the role for you.

This is a key leadership position within the firm, combining technical expertise, client relationship management and people leadership. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients while playing an important role in developing and supporting Senior and Semi Senior team members.

The role offers clear progression, strong autonomy, and the opportunity to work closely with Partners in driving client service and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of a client portfolio, including billing and fee management
• Review statutory accounts, management accounts and tax work
• Act as the primary point of contact for key clients
• Manage workflow, deadlines and team capacity across the accounts team
• Coach, mentor and develop Senior and Semi Senior staff
• Identify opportunities to add value and support client growth
• Support business development and onboarding of new clients
• Liaise closely with Partners on portfolio performance and resourcing

Desirable Experience

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong post-qualification experience within a UK accountancy practice
• Proven experience managing a client portfolio
• People management and leadership experience
• Strong commercial awareness and client relationship skills
• Comfortable working closely with Partners
