Responsibilities

• Execute trades in fixed income securities for EMEA portfolios, with focus on European HY and EM.
• Source and provide liquidity; deliver best execution across voice, electronic and automated protocols.
• Generate trade ideas and market colour; brief PMs/analysts on trends, liquidity and technicals.
• Manage relationships with sell side counterparties and trading venues.
• Monitor execution risk, slippage and transaction costs; uphold high trading standards.
• Contribute to trading technology improvements, regulatory awareness and market structure initiatives.
• Ensure controls, record-keeping and compliance with internal policies and FCA/PRA rules.

Requirements

• Significant practical experience in HY or EM markets (ideally both).
• Strong knowledge of fixed income and derivatives: Credit Index, Index Options, TRS, Single-Name CDS.
• Proficiency with OMS workflows; Charles River experience advantageous.
• Approved/authorised status to perform relevant UK trading functions, or eligibility to obtain.
• Demonstrable track record of best execution and use of electronic trading protocols.
• Clear communicator; collaborative, proactive mindset.
