Assistant Financial Controller in London - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited

I'm currently supporting an ultra-luxury retailer looking for Assistant Financial Controller to join their fast-growth business. They are constantly expanding across the globe, with ambitious growth plans across Europe. This role will support the European FC, manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business (covering UK & Europe entities), take ownership of the month-end & management accounting, work closely with C-Suite, and support the finance team.

Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your key duties will involve:

• Manage the day-to-day financial operations with the FC's support
• Lead end-to-end month-end close, journals and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and on time delivery
• Prepare management accounts, board packs and insightful variance analysis, turning data into clear actions
• Support consolidated reporting and cash-flow forecasting
• Strengthen the control environment (policies, process, documentation) and drive continuous improvement/automation
• Partner with department heads across the business
• Support statutory/tax compliance and liaise with external auditors
• Help manage the finance team of 3-4 members, helping shape a best in class finance function
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified
• Strong management accounting experience
• Industry experience, however open on sector
• Strong Excel skills & data management
• Strong, confident communicator to handle senior stakeholders &C-suite.
