Accountant in Kidlington - The Employment Network

An established and growing business is looking to appoint a capable and detail-oriented finance professional to support its engineering operations on a temp / temp-to-perm / perm basis. This is a hands-on role offering broad exposure across transactional accounting, month-end reporting, and process improvement, with scope to develop as the business continues to grow.

Your New Role

• Process purchase invoices and engineering-related costs, ensuring accurate coding
• Manage and reconcile supplier and customer accounts
• Prepare and post sales invoices following internal review
• Support month-end processes, including WIP and stock reporting
• Assist with audits and balance sheet reconciliations
• Produce ad hoc management information as required
• Support continuous improvement of finance processes and systems

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Experience with stock and WIP, ideally within manufacturing
• Detail-focused with a logical, problem-solving mindset
• Comfortable working to deadlines and under pressure
• Strong team player with good communication skills
• People management experience will be beneficial
• Confident Excel and Microsoft Office user
• Available on short notice for temp / temp-to-perm contract

What You'll Get in Return

• £40,000 - £45,00 (hourly rate in line with this range)
• 30 days of annual leave for the permanent role
• 37.5 hour week
• Office-based (potential for hybrid working for temp contract)
• Flexible working (remote working on ad hoc basis if required)
