Finance Assistant - Join a Fast-Paced & Supportive Finance Team ??

Location: Newbridge ??
Hours: Monday-Thursday (8:30am-5pm), Friday (8:30am-4:30pm) ?
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: Highly Competitive ??

We're excited to be supporting one of our long-standing clients in Newbridge as they welcome a new Finance Assistant to their team. With a valued colleague retiring, this is an excellent chance to step into a varied, hands-on role within a friendly and supportive finance department.

If you're accurate, proactive, and enjoy taking ownership across both purchase and sales ledger duties, this position is for you!

Key Responsibilities

Purchase Ledger ??

  • Process, match and record purchase invoices with accuracy
  • Resolve supplier queries quickly and professionally
  • Maintain supplier accounts through regular statement reviews and reconciliations
  • Oversee weekly BACS runs and handle any ad hoc/overseas payments
  • Complete month-end ledger tasks to tight deadlines
  • Keep suppliers informed with clear, timely communication

Sales Ledger ??

  • Prepare and issue customer invoices in line with agreed processes
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer account information
  • Monitor outstanding balances and manage debtor follow-ups
  • Complete monthly reconciliations
  • Assist with weekly payment/receipt forecasts for the 13-week cashflow

Finance Administration ??

  • Update and maintain cost schedules across the business
  • Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Accurately record and manage petty cash
  • Provide general administrative support
  • Assist the Group Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks
