Elevation Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering a leading manufacturer in the aerospace sector, as they look to appoint an experienced Quality Engineer to join their established team based in Sheffield.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and technically minded quality professional to play a key role in driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance to aerospace standards, and supporting business performance through effective root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer will provide key support to manufacturing operations by leading structured problem-solving initiatives and managing key quality assurance processes. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate and lead RCCA events in line with company procedures, applying recognised problem-solving tools such as 8D, Fishbone Diagrams, 5 Whys, and process mapping.
  • Conduct scheduled internal process audits across the business, ensuring compliance with AS9100, Rolls-Royce SABRE, and other customer or regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare, manage, and submit key quality documentation including FAIRs, concessions, and corrective action reports.
  • Support document control processes to maintain accurate and compliant quality records.
  • Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve concerns, support investigations, and drive improvement activities.
  • Contribute to business KPI improvement by reducing the cost of poor quality and promoting best practice in quality management.
I'm keen to speak to Quality Engineer's with the following skillset:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Quality role within the Aerospace or a similar precision manufacturing environment.
  • HNC (or higher) in Manufacturing, Production, or Mechanical Engineering — or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience using structured problem-solving and continuous improvement tools.
  • Familiarity with machining, fabrication, and forming processes (desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace customer requirements, including FAIRs and concessions (desirable).
  • Experience using Q-Pulse or other electronic quality management systems (desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams and with customers.
