Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Barnet - January 2026 Start

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a fantastic secondary schools in Barnet seeking a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their teams from January 2026. These are full-time, long-term positions (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm) - ideal for graduates passionate about mathematics education and supporting students to build confidence and achievement in the subject.

• Support students across KS3 and KS4 with maths learning, including numeracy intervention and exam preparation.

• Work closely with the Maths Department and SENCO to support students with additional learning needs, including dyscalculia, ADHD, and SEMH challenges.

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students develop mathematical understanding and confidence.

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging maths lessons and differentiated learning activities.

• Help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed.

• Gain valuable, hands-on experience relevant to a future career in teaching or educational support.

• A recent Maths graduate (or closely related degree).

• A strong interest in education and supporting young people in mathematics.

• A patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

• A welcoming, high-achieving secondary school in Barnet.

• Full-time, long-term position - Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.
