Senior Accountant in Cheam - AJ Chambers

Salary – £38,000–£48,000 (depending on experience and qualification status)

Workplace Type – Office based (with flexibility to work from Surbiton when required)

Role Summary

Are you an experienced qualified Senior Accountant wanting to take ownership of a varied client portfolio, building on existing client relations and progress towards a client manager position? This is the role for you!

You will work closely with Client Managers and Partners, contributing to the smooth delivery of accounts and tax work while progressing towards a Client Manager position.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory accounts and management accounts
• Prepare corporation tax computations and VAT returns
• Act as the main day-to-day contact for a portfolio of clients
• Review work prepared by Semi Seniors and junior staff
• Support the training and development of junior team members
• Liaise with clients to resolve queries and provide accounting support
• Ensure work is delivered accurately and within agreed deadlines
• Assist Client Managers with workflow and portfolio management

Desirable Experience

• ACA or ACCA qualified or finalist
• Strong experience within a UK accountancy practice
• Good technical knowledge across accounts and tax
• Experience reviewing and mentoring junior team members
• Confident and professional client-facing skills
• Organised, proactive and commercially aware
