SEN Teaching Assistant in Lincoln - Tradewind Recruitment

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students with Learning Disabilities and Autism in primary and secondary SEN schools across Lincoln.

We are proud to be working with a range of welcoming, inclusive schools that value every child's individuality and potential. These rewarding roles involve providing 1:1 or small-group support to pupils, helping them to access the curriculum and develop key social and learning skills.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored support to students with learning disabilities and autism in classroom and 1:1 settings.

• Help implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teaching and SEN staff.

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.

• Support students in managing communication, sensory, and behavioural needs.

• Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Essential: Experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs, particularly autism or learning disabilities.

• A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to learning.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• A strong understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to pupil wellbeing.

• A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.

• A welcoming, inclusive school environment where your work truly makes a difference.

• Ongoing professional development and SEND-specific training opportunities.

• Support from a dedicated local consultant who understands the needs of Lincoln schools.
