Job Description

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students with Learning Disabilities and Autism in primary and secondary SEN schools across Lincoln.

The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to students with learning disabilities and autism in classroom and 1:1 settings.

  • Help implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teaching and SEN staff.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.

  • Support students in managing communication, sensory, and behavioural needs.

  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Essential: Experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs, particularly autism or learning disabilities.

  • A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to learning.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to pupil wellbeing.

  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
