Xpert Resourcing are working with a growing firm who are looking to add an Accounts Assistant to their accounts team.
As an Accounts Assistant within this firm this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a friendly, fun and supportive environment. The successful candidate will support various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial record-keeping and data entry.
Previous experience gained within another Accountancy firm, as well as experience of using Xero, will be an advantage, but training is provided.
Duties will include:
- Take responsibility for HMRC and Companies House filing.
- Support data entry tasks related to financial transactions and account reconciliations
- Maintain organised records of financial documents and correspondence
- Responsible for preparing accounts for a complete mix of clients - Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies.
- Help to prepare accounts to Trial Balance.
- Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure excellent levels of customer service are provided at all times.
- Support month-end closing activities by verifying data accuracy and completeness
- Perform general administrative duties related to finance operations as required
Experience / skills required:
- Proven experience working within an Accountancy Practice.
- Good sense of humour.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Previous experience working with recognised accounting systems or software is highly desirable.
Hours of work:
- Monday to Friday.
- 9am - 5pm
