Full-Time | Mon-Fri | 8:30am-3:30pm | Term Time Only
Pay: £90-£121.89 per day

Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers and succeed in their learning?

Tradewind are seeking enthusiastic and resilient Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants to join an alternative provision within Preston within there Pastoral Team

You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, building strong relationships, and helping create a safe, calm, and supportive learning environment for students with social, emotional, or behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students 1:1 and in small groups with behaviour and engagement.
• Implement behaviour strategies outlined in support plans.
• Work closely with teaching staff to maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Build consistent, trusting relationships with students.
• Assist in creating and reviewing Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs).
• Liaise with parents/carers, SENCO, and external professionals.
• Record and monitor behaviour and intervention outcomes.
• Support students during break and lunchtime.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situations.
• Experience in education, behaviour support, or youth work (desirable).
• Good organisational skills and basic IT competence.
