Warehouse Operative in Bellshill - People Solutions Group Limited

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join our well-established client based in Bellshill.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure full-time, ongoing work with one of the UK’s leading food distribution centres as they continue through their peak period.

Location: Bellshill
Shift Pattern: Any 5 days out of 7 (including weekends)
Shift Time: 06:00 – 14:00
Pay Rate: £12.36 per hour (increasing to £13.15 after probation)
Overtime: Paid after 40 hours at £18.54 – £19.73 per hour
Start Date: Monday 17th November 2025 (start date)

As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Picking chilled food products accurately using handheld scanners

• Preparing and loading orders for dispatch

• Carrying out manual handling tasks including lifting, bending, and moving stock

• Working in chilled temperatures (2°C – 5°C) – thermal PPE provided

• Maintaining stock accuracy and ensuring your working area is clean and safe

• Following all Health & Safety and food hygiene standards at all times

The skills required to be a warehouse operative are:

• Must be comfortable working in cold/chilled environments (protective clothing provided)

• Must be available for full-time work (5 shifts per week)

• Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to read, understand, and work accurately with handheld scanners and product numbers

• Flexibility to work any 5 days out of 7, including weekends

• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test prior to induction

• Previous warehouse or order-picking experience (beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided)

Training:

• Paid induction and Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
