Assistant Accountant in Northampton - 360-Recruitment

We have been asked to recruit an Assistant Accountant for business based in Northampton.

This is a newly created position to support the wider accounts team.

Day to day reporting into the Financial Controller, you’ll help ensure the accounts department is running smoothly.

The Financial Controller is very ambitious and has developed their role over the last few years... He will be an amazing mentor, and you'll be encouraged to widen your skill set and progress within the company.

Below is an overview of what you’ll be doing;

• Payment run assistance and review
• Assist with month end close, regular journals, WIP
• Sales and purchase ledger
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Nominal reviews
• VAT return - preparation
• Managing fixed asset register
• Support the Finance Assistant

In terms of background, you’ll ideally be studying AAT or in the very early stages of ACCA/CIMA. The company will support future studies and encourage you to become fully qualified.
