Finance Business Partner in Solihull - AD Finance

Finance Business Partner required for a superb retail business based in Solihull, West Midlands. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join a high-growth business, expanding organically and through an aggressive acquisition model, in a role that will shape the future of the organisation's commercial finance function. This role truly is focused away from the routine of month end, instead focusing on FP&A, financial modelling, investment appraisal, and sales, margin and pricing analysis.

Reporting to the Head of Finance Business Partnering, the Finance Business Partner will be responsible for:

• Production of weekly and monthly financial results/P&Ls with full analysis and commentary
• Weekly meetings with senior operational managers to convey financial position and suggest change
• Working with the senior commercial finance leaders to build investment appraisal models for new stores
• Analysis of sales and margin figures, and using financial models to suggest new pricing structures
• Comparison of monthly financial results to budget/forecast, and reforecasting as appropriate
• Production of cash flow forecasts/cash flow analysis, and supporting the budget-setting process
• Supervision of junior finance staff to support month end and FP&A activities
• Ad hoc project work to support non-financial analysis in operational areas that improve performance

The ideal candidate will be an ACMA, ACCA or ACA qualified accountant with experience working in industry (ideally retail, wholesale, distribution or logistics), either as a Finance Analyst or a Finance Business Partner. Finalists will be considered with excellent experience.

You will need to be highly competent using Excel and other analytical tools to produce business insights, and a confident business partner able to speak effectively to non-finance colleagues, challenging them when required.
