Our client, a growing and ambitious SME, is looking for a Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team during an exciting period of transformation and growth.

This is the perfect opportunity for a newly qualified or recently qualified finance professional who wants to gain broad experience, drive process improvements, and grow towards a more commercial finance role in the future.

The Role

As Management Accountant, you'll play a key part in delivering accurate, insightful financial information while helping to shape the finance function as it evolves. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, contribute to key business decisions, and get involved in continuous improvement projects across systems, processes, and reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and commentary

  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting

  • Working closely with non-finance managers to provide financial insight and support decision-making

  • Driving process improvements and contributing to system enhancements

  • Assisting with month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting packs

  • Supporting the development of a growing and collaborative finance team

About You

You're a motivated and hands-on finance professional who enjoys getting under the skin of the numbers and understanding the "why" behind them. You'll be excited by the opportunity to help shape a growing finance function and to build a career that moves toward business partnering and commercial finance.

We're looking for:

  • Newly or recently qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)

  • Strong management accounting experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills (experience with system improvements a bonus)

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to get involved in projects beyond month-end

  • Great communication skills and confidence working with non-finance stakeholders

  • A growth mindset - someone who wants to progress into a broader, commercial finance role

The Opportunity

This role offers genuine career progression in a business that's growing fast and investing heavily in its people and systems. You'll join a supportive, forward-thinking finance team where development is encouraged, ideas are valued, and no two days are the same.
