Alexander Daniels are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant for a business based in Solihull. This role offers an opportunity for you to take on a role that is rounded with a variation of tasks. The successful candidate must have previous experience in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Management Accountant in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Processing accruals, prepayments, depreciation and monthly & year end journals
- Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers, including postings and account reconciliations
- Reporting on debtors and creditors and delivering and dealing with invoice queries/disputes
- Completing Balance sheet, Control Accounts, Bank & Company Credit Cards reconciliations on monthly basis
- Processing of credit card statements and employee expenses.
- Reviewing & Submitting VAT and annual returns, reconciling to the accounting system
- Assist with the yearend process and liaise with external auditors
- Other Adhoc tasks as required.
Essential requirements:
- AAT Qualified or QBE.
- Excellent Excel skills
- Previous experience in a similar role (1-2 years)
