My client, an industry leading global company headquarterd in Warrington, are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join their high calibre finance team - immediate start preferred.

This is an exceptional opportunity for you to play a pivotal role in integrating two major acquisitions across the Uk and Europe, while supporting business transformation and driving financial performance.

You will work closely with senior leaders, including regional CEOs and CFOs, as well as unit Managing Directors and Finance Directors, ensuring that your insights directly influence strategic decisions.

The role will require some overseas European travel, with the successful candidate understanding how crucial this is in order to develop and maintain working relationships with key senior stakeholders.

What you'll do:

  • Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with all senior managers across the region, including close interactions with regional CEO, CFO, unit Managing Directors, and Finance Directors to ensure alignment on financial objectives.
  • Support the transformation team with integration activities related to recent acquisitions by providing expert financial guidance and operational support.
  • Prepare monthly reporting for the Board of Directors, delivering clear insights into financial performance and highlighting key trends relevant to business strategy.
  • Assist the leadership team on all finance matters by offering strategic advice that enhances decision-making processes.
  • Improve the impact and understanding of financial reporting on business performance by providing detailed analysis that links financial outcomes to broader business goals.
  • Lead Financial Planning & Analysis activities including budgets, monthly forecasting, variance analysis, ensuring accuracy and relevance of all financial data presented.
  • Deliver strategic and operational financial analysis to guide the business in achieving its objectives while identifying areas for improvement or risk mitigation.
  • Attend regular project reviews to challenge financial results constructively in order to drive best performance across all units involved.
  • Collaborate with Finance Business Partners from other sectors and Major Projects to drive improvements in consistency of reporting standards.
  • Analyse business risks and opportunities against forecasted budgets for all main financial KPIs; provide ad hoc analysis for the Head of Commercial Finance as required.

What you bring:

  • Qualified accountant status is essential for this position as it ensures you possess the technical expertise required for high-level finance partnering.
  • Proven experience in finance business partnering with large, complex organisations, demonstrating your ability to operate effectively at scale.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint are necessary so you can present complex data clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience of reporting for project-based businesses is highly desirable as it enables you to understand unique challenges faced during integration activities.
  • Familiarity with PowerBI would be advantageous since it supports enhanced data visualisation capabilities within finance functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills allow you to build collaborative relationships with senior managers across different regions.
  • Strong analytical abilities enable you to link financial outcomes directly with strategic business objectives.
  • Adaptability is important given that this role involves supporting projects outside traditional finance boundaries when required.
  • Effective communication skills ensure that your insights are understood by both finance professionals and non-finance colleagues alike.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement aligns well with organisational values focused on learning from both successes and mistakes.
