Senior Management Accountant in Lichfield - Mitchell Adam

A growing and forward-thinking business based in Shenstone is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, commercially minded accountant to take ownership of project accounting and full-cycle management accounts, providing insight and support to drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

• Oversee project accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, monitoring project costs, and reporting profitability.

• Analyse financial performance, highlighting trends and identifying areas for improvement.

• Complete VAT returns (swedish, irish, and UK)

• Collaborate closely with business leaders, providing commercial insights and recommendations.

• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, business cases, and system/process improvements.

Skills & Experience:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience.

• Strong experience in project accounting within a commercial environment.

• Proven track record in preparing management accounts from start to finish.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.

• Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP/accounting software desirable.

• Proactive, organised, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
