The Management Accountant will support the Accounting & Finance department in managing financial operations within the construction industry. This role requires strong financial acumen and the ability to contribute to efficient financial management and reporting processes.

Description

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Contribute to financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
• Monitor and manage cash flow and working capital requirements.
• Provide support in the preparation of tax returns and statutory accounts.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function.

Profile

A successful Assistant Finance Manager should have:

• Part qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial principles.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Experience within finance of projects is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvements.
